If you are in the Express Entry pool you can get selected by this province and/or other territories before even July. The best time to get picked by the province is this month. As from next month, the FSWP draws will commence and the cut-offs may be record high. There is still chance for you and/or your family members to get nominated by the province.
The Past PNP Pools
From the previous draws in the province, it can be deduced that selections have only been made within 1 month interval for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream starting the year draws from February 08, 2022 and to April 28, 2022. If we had to forecast the time by which the next selection can be envisaged, we would have guessed right for the next to be in June leaving out January 2022 for the first annual draw in February, only March for April draw, and May for that of June.
Human Capital Priorities stream
Looking at the other PNP stream, predictions may not be so fairly straightforward since selection for the year were done in an unordered manner. Last draws of this stream were pooled on January 12, 2022, February 08, 2022 and February 22, 2022. Thus, for the first month of the year, the draws were pooled twice while only one draw was pooled for the second month. After that period, no other selections were made for over 3 months up until the month of June. The skilled trades stream was more consistent in picking candidates monthly from the Express Entry pool though.Typical Nominated Candidates
From our source, one applicant with 493 CRS points was issued a Notification of Interest (NOI) by the Government of Ontario, Canada. He is a web developer with over 3 years of experience that had backed only bachelor’s degree, taken IELTS with 7.5 in speaking, 8.5 in listening, 9.0 in reading and 7.0 in writing and even TEF Canada result with an average of C1 level (NCLC 8). Though, he has no study or work experience or even family or friend relations in Canada. Lastly, the principal applicant has a dependent common-law partner with a secondary school certificate and average of band 6.0 in IELTS test result.
Average Application Processing Times
As of February 10, 2022, Ontario has made it known that the Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker and Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities streams has 60 – 90 days estimated processing time period for most applications. And, applications that require clarification or more information take longer to process. If one’s application is taking longer than the estimated processing time, there is no need to contact the program. OINP will contact one if more information is required.Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
Some may be asking what exactly the OINP is. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the province’s economic immigration program. It works in partnership with the Government of Canada through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Foreign workers, international students and others with the right skills, experience and education apply to the OINP for a nomination. The OINP recognizes and nominates people for permanent residence who have the skills and experience the Ontario economy needs, and the Government of Canada makes the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence. So, if you’re eligible, you can get selected from the EE pool.
How to Prepare for Selection
It is easier said than done as they say. Getting the nomination is really a challenge for many people due to the way the province among others selects candidates from the EE pool and their own EOI pools. I would advise nonetheless that applicants endeavor to prepare themselves well for Canada immigration as they do not know when they can be privileged to get chosen by the province or territory. As a rule of thumb, if you have a competitive IELTS and/or TEF Canada score with a remarkable occupation on the in-demand list, you can be rest assured of getting picked sooner than later.More Ways to Get Ready
For those who want to take the test for the first time or who have taken the language tests before and have not gotten their desired scores, you can enroll in a fail-proof test preparation center to get trained well on the skills required to ace the exam at once or next try. It is not compulsory to get a valid job offer in order to get an NOI from Ontario amongst other provinces like Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. However, setting yourself up as a highly skilled worker is paramount. Having 3 or more years of experience is a general a good sign for getting the invitation to apply for PNP and even PR too.
Outcomes of Provincial Nomination
Once a province or territory nominates an applicant through Express Entry and it is accepted, an additional 600 points is automatically allocated to one’s profile in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System. And this indicates to both Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the nominating province or territory that one intends to live in that province or territory and that one will comply with any other provincial or territorial program requirements.Normal Expectations of a Nomination
As expected, once a nomination is accepted, one’s profile will no longer be visible to other provinces and territories, to not be considered for the nomination by other provinces and territories or even for federal economic programs in Express Entry. Though, it is possible to be nominated by more than one province or territory, but one may only accept one nomination.
In case of Rejection
If the nomination is declined, one stays in the Express Entry pool of candidates to be eligible to receive invitations to apply under the federal immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and/or Canadian Experience Class). It is also worthy of note that a PNP nomination does not guarantee that one will be approved for permanent residence. The final decision to issue a visa or other document for permanent residence rests with IRCC.Expert Assistance
Applicants often need help from migration experts to get their selection and processing faster.
