So many are now so happy as their dream of settling in Canada is coming true. If you are monitoring the selections, you would notice some trends that I would like to discuss on today in this article. Join me as I analyze the available immigration data and forecast how easily you can also get picked in the next draws once you position yourself well.
Historical Immigration Statistics
Since the 6th of July 2022, there has been some glaring patterns in the way that IRCC chooses to invite immigrants in the Express Entry pool. It should be known that the draws have been ‘no program specified’ selections which means that candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) were eligible to be invited. Let’s mention some worthwhile data trends.
The Pools’ Dates
One of the most important and simple signs that cannot be easily forsaken is the fact that IRCC has been dutifully inviting candidates to migrate Canada every 2 weeks from the very recommencement of the draws in the second half of the year. Yesterday could have been the time they chose to not follow that trend since it was the last day of the month of August – 31st. It was really not a day that IRCC neglected it; perhaps due to their die-hard commitment of ‘gradually resuming all the Express Entry draws for foreign and local migrants.’Invitations Issued
There was a significant positive sign which IRCC decided to give us in this metric. I would argue that this is the most extremely vital salient information that we need to take note of so that we see how we can benefit from the reopening of the EE draws. From July 6, the first July draw invited 1,500 candidates, the second 1,750 and so on. Though, yesterday’s draw was different by 200% increase. Instead of the regular 250 additions to the invitations issued, there was a jump to 500 more invites from 2,250 to 2,750.
CRS Scores of lowest-ranked candidate invited
This is a very sensitive part of the historical metrics that we have to give some assumptions based on the data we have and even with our prayers. From the very first draw, 557 CRS points were used, afterwards 542 was applied on July the 20th which was a deduction of 15 scores. Later, on August the 3rd, 533 CRS scores were utilized making a reduction of just 9 points. After 14 days, on the 17th of August, the CRS points of 525 was made use of which was a mere subtraction of 8 marks from the previous one. And as of yesterday the 31st of August, 516 was taken to be the CRS points for the lowest candidate, and this accounted for just a loss of 9 marks again from the last draw.Other Deciding Metrics
Even though these are the statistics that many candidates look at, they are not the only data that IRCC makes available and can indelibly alter the decisions made by the office when selecting the next applicants to migrate to the maple country. The Tie-breaking rule which was April 16, 2022 at 18:24:41 UTC yesterday is on major determinant of selection. Candidates who submitted their Express Entry profiles before that day have a fair chance of being chosen than those who do on that day or after it. The CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of August 29, 2022 is another necessary factor. With 466 in the 601-1200, 7,224 in the 501-600, 5,554 in the 491-500 among other candidates who would even join the pool could also affect the process of inviting new immigrants.
Our Critical Assumptions
In the fields of data science and machine learning engineering, it is pertinent to have some rational assumptions that will be the basis of our future projections unlike in the Canada Immigration Countries’ Data Analysis Report 1980 – 2013 worked on before now. So, I would be outlining the assumptions that I used in making the forecasts that I am about to give in this article now;

IRCC will continue to invite candidates every 2 weeks
Unlike past invitation ranges, IRCC would invite 500 more candidates from now on
CRS reductions for next draws should not fall by 10 marks or more
The Tie-breaking rule will advance to around May 15, 2022
Applicants with 500+ CRS who apply on or before that time would be given priority over others.The Scientific Predictions
Considering the already known facts that the total of 10,250 candidates have been invited to migrate to Canada from July 6th up until August 31st 2022 which is within 5 intervals of 2 weeks from CRS cutoffs 557 to 516 with an average of 10 points and a constant addition of 250 candidates except for the last draw with 500 more, we perhaps can forecast the following upcoming draws;

The next draws should be on the 14th & 28th September, 12th & 26th October and 9th
The lowest CRS points for these draws should be 504, 492, 481, 471 and 460 respectively.
The number of candidates selected could be 3250, 3750, 4250, 4750 and 5000 respectively.
The total number of candidates for these subsequent draws amount to 21,000.
The points reduced from each draw lowest CRS could be 12, 12, 11, 10 and 10 respectively.

Our Hopes with Reality
Even though these forecasts have been carefully predicted, it may not be without flaws which could emanate from the lack of knowledge about IRCC’s plans, strategies and possible amendments to skilled workers’ migration. I have tried my best in giving insights based on the data presented above. We pray and hope that one or more of these predictions may be right partially even if not in its totality. From time to time, as the draws unfold, we would attempt to be reanalyzing the data provided and coming up with new predictions if needed. For the main time, let us all make do with what we have and look forward for the best. We never know, the reality could even be better than the forecasts which we envisage.Your next call(s) of action
We have given you the numbers, now it is your turn to plan towards the eventuality. No doubt, selections will be made sooner or later. If you are in the pool, keep on being there. If not, join now quickly so that the Tie-breaking rule does not work against you. Furthermore, if your status in the pool is shaky due to your language tests expiring or any other factor, kindly get to retake it and position yourself well for the next draws. The lowest CRS of 460 by November is really a huge forecasted number that may not be possible this year talk less of a month before the end of the year, yet we never know what may happen.
