In respect of the immigration requirements for Canada, one must take the following tests:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8211; Compre\u0301hension e\u0301crite (Reading)<br \/>\n&#8211; Compre\u0301hension orale (Listening)<br \/>\n&#8211; Expression e\u0301crite (Writing)<br \/>\n&#8211; Expression orale (Speaking)<br \/>\nCanadian Citizenship &#038; Quebec Immigration Requirements<br \/>\nIn the Canadian citizenship requirement framework, one must take the following tests:<br \/>\n&#8211; Compre\u0301hension orale (Listening)<br \/>\n&#8211; Expression orale (Speaking)<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAll the tests must be taken along the same session. If the score obtained in one of the tests does not satisfy one, such person must retake the tests together. In the Quebec immigration requirement, one must take the following tests:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8211; Compre\u0301hension orale (Listening)<br \/>\n&#8211; Expression orale (Speaking)<br \/>\n&#8211; Compre\u0301hension e\u0301crite (Reading) (especially if the main claimer wishes)<br \/>\n&#8211; Expression e\u0301crite (Writing) (especially if the main claimer wishes)Comprehension e\u0301crite \u2018Reading\u2019<br \/>\nThis test skill is comprised of 4 sections &#8211; 50 questions. and it last for 1 hour. the main objective is to\u00a0evaluate your capacity to read and understand written documents.<br \/>\nThe reading test comprises of 50 questions divided into:<br \/>\n10 questions \u2013 defining the context of a document (where?, to who? when? for what reason?)<br \/>\n25 questions \u2013 understanding a document in detail, understanding some key informations\u2026<br \/>\n10 questions \u2013 understanding the organisation and logic of a text<br \/>\n5 questions \u2013 understanding the general sense of a sentence<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nType of documents \u2013 press articles, notice, graphics, classified ads, reader\u2019s section, blank texts, texts in disorder, sentences to reformulate.<br \/>\nRemaining time:<br \/>\nThe remaining time for the test is shown on top at the right of the screen. When the test time is gone, the computer automatically saves your responses. Take note: the button \u2018End the test\u2019 (&#8216;Terminer l&#8217;\u00e9preuve&#8217;) will appear when you have run through all the questions. If you click on this button, it will not be possible to come back on the test to change your response.\u00a0<br \/>\nCompre\u0301hension Orale (Listening)<br \/>\nThis test skill comprises of 4 sections which has 60 questions. It lasts for\u00a040 minutes.\u00a0And the main objective is to\u00a0evaluate your capacity to understand spoken French while listening to oral documents.<br \/>\nThe listening test comprises of 60 questions divided into:<br \/>\n8 questions \u2013 associating some illustrations to some oral messages.<br \/>\n26 questions \u2013 understand some short messages: general sense and context.<br \/>\n16 questions \u2013 understand in detail some long messages, determine some intentions and some opinions.<br \/>\n10 questions \u2013 recognizing and differentiating sounds.<br \/>\nType of documents Dialogues, stories, descriptions, telephone messages, public announcements, extracts of radio emissions, interviews&#8230; short sentences<br \/>\nEach computer is provided with an individual earpiece that must be used for the listening. The oral documents is played automatically. The test starts one time, it cannot be stopped! Each question type is preceded by an instruction, written and oral, that explains the task to be done and the number of presumed listenings. Certain documents are played only once, others two times: the instruction informs you systematically. Some pauses are expected on the audio recordings to read the questions and respond.Expression Tests<br \/>\nExpression orale \u2018speaking\u2019 &#8211; This test has just\u00a02 sections which lasts for\u00a015 minutes in total (test duration).\u00a0The main objective is to evaluate your capacity to communicate orally with an examiner. The two (2) activities : sect ion A and section B.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSECTION A \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nDuration of interview: 5 minutes<br \/>\nRoleplay \u00a0&#8211; formal situation<br \/>\nObjective\u00a0&#8211; Obtain some informations, gather some informations.<br \/>\nProgress<br \/>\n&#8211; subject realization: 1 minute.<br \/>\n&#8211; Interaction : 5 minutes.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSECTION B<br \/>\nDuration of interview: 10 minutes<br \/>\nRoleplay \u00a0&#8211; friendly situation<br \/>\nObjectives<br \/>\n&#8211; Present the contents of a document while using their appropriate words.<br \/>\n&#8211; Convince, expose your point of view et argument on the invoked sujet.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nProgress<br \/>\n&#8211; subject realization: 1 minute.<br \/>\n&#8211; Interaction : 10 minutes.<br \/>\nFormat of supporting documents: documents of the daily life (announcements, publicity, handbill, etc.)<br \/>\nExpression e\u0301crite \u2018Writing\u2019<br \/>\nThis aspect of the test has\u00a02 sections which is taken within just\u00a01 hour.\u00a0The main objective of this test is to evaluate your capacity to express yourself in written French. The two (2) activities : section A and section B.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSECTION A<br \/>\nType of document: the beginning of a press article (news item rubric)<br \/>\nObjective: write the continuation of the article (80 words minimum)<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSECTION B<br \/>\nType of document: an extract sentence from a newspaper<br \/>\nObjective: to express one\u2019s point of view and justify it (200 words minimum)<br \/>\nThe test is evaluated by no less than two (2) human correctors of independent way which are didactic specialists of the language. They evaluate from the objective way:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe quality and the efficacy of produced texts:<\/p>\n<p>the respect de la situation<br \/>\nthe general organisation of the text<br \/>\nthe clarity of the information or of the argumentation<br \/>\nthe capacity to develop, qualify and specify one\u2019s intentions<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2192 is the text clear, transparent, confusing, incoherent ?<br \/>\n\u2192 are the information summary, vague, precise, detailed?<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe richness and the mastery of the written French language:<\/p>\n<p>the lexicon<br \/>\nthe syntax (sentences, tenses and modes\u2026)<br \/>\nthe orthography<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2192 is the used lexicon just, precise, adequate?<br \/>\n\u2192 are the sentences simple, complex? masters?<br \/>\n\u2192 are the verb tenses et modes correctly utilised?<br \/>\n\u2192 is the usual orthography mastered?<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe correctors utilise a standardized evaluation grid. This allows to attribute, in relation to the different criteria of evaluation, a level of global performance on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages \u2018Cadre europeen commun de reference pour les langues\u2019 (CEFRL\/CECR). The six levels of CECR are\u00a0A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.Test Evaluation<br \/>\nThe teachers who evaluate your written and oral expressions\u2019 tests use a complete and precise evaluation grid. This grid is the same for all candidates. It is furthermore analyzed by the French language center. This system guarantees the same evaluation for all.<br \/>\nMarking Guide<br \/>\nThe Marking guide requires candidates to\u00a0respond by clicking on the chosen response. One\u00a0can modify his or her response while clicking on another choice on the computer.
