Statistics is one thing that I love so much, why? Well, the answer is so simple. It does not tell lies. It mostly comprises of verifiable data of numbers, facts and figures. In fact, I value more of foreign statistics as they are found to be much more accurate and purpose-driven than those of Nigeria. I am sorry to say that but I have to be objective enough to make you understand what I am saying. Now, let me give you some interesting statistics that states the reason for my chosen topic today. Nigerians Moving to Canada Just in 2017, 2,885 Nigerians were admitted into Canada via Express Entry. In 2018, the number increased to 11,629 with the most pending asylum claims in Canada. In 2019, Nigeria became the fourth-leading source country of new immigrants to Canada, behind India, China and the Philippines. A total of 12,600 Nigerians gained permanent residence last year, which represents a tripling of Nigerian immigration to Canada since 2015. Canada’s progressive immigration policies welcome thousands of new Nigerians to the country each year and Nigerians are really taking advantage of it. This post was somehow geared towards Nigerians but you can also benefit from it if you are from another country asides Nigeria. Do you even know that President Donald Trump of USA is now putting down strict policies that are hindering Nigerians and other African countries from entering the United States? Worse still, have you heard of how the United Arab Emirates (UAE) especially Dubai are now returning Nigerians back home and invalidating the Visas of dear Nigerians? Since, we cannot want to stay in our country due to the corruption and its ill condition; where else can we move to if not Canada? I leave that again for you to answer. Do you even know why people are moving to Canada en mass? The answer is more straight forward. The country is more welcoming than the likes of USA, UK, Germany, Russia, etc. I also has a world-class educational system and even promises access to healthcare benefits among others. Maybe I would write fully on the advantages of migrating to Canada afterwards, if you would like that, comment YES ADVANTAGES on the comment of this blog article. Now that you know some of the reasons, let us discuss how you can start getting set to moving to Canada. Getting Adequate Information I do say that, ‘Ignorance is not just a virtue; it is stupidity in all ramifications.’ That sounded kind of harsh but that is just to let you know how serious this first point is. You cannot afford to waste your time, money and energy chasing shadows. You need to educate yourself well on how Canada immigration processing works and your chances of getting into one of the numerous immigration programs. As at today, Canada has over 80 different programs for immigrants which comprises of separate requirements, fees and processes. You have to first of all need to get all the available knowledge on the major ones. You can join this Facebook group to learn more on them. On an introductory basis, take for instance One of the most notable immigration pathways in Canada is the Express Entry immigration system, a pathway to permanent resident status for skilled workers around the world. Express Entry uses a competitive points-based system to rank candidates on factors predicting their potential success in Canada, including age, level of education, English or French language proficiency, work experience and connections in Canada. Even though lots of Nigerians use this medium to migrate to Canada, it is not always the best pathway to Canada for everyone especially care-givers like nurses, nannies, doctors or even sole proprietors and business owners to mention but a few.Conducting Pre-evaluation After knowing about the different programs, you now have to pre-evaluate your suitability for the programs that best fit you and/or your family. This you can do by following this link to our migration desk. The reason for this is rather self-explanatory but to buttress on it. Pre-evaluation gives you a blueprint of your Canadian Immigration Processing even before you start spending thorns of monies and undergoing unnecessary processes. From your submitted bio-data including your age, educational background, work experience, family relationship, sponsorship details, etc, we would be able to match your profile with 2-3 possible Canadian Immigration Pathways that best helps you migrate easily and cost-effectively. In addition, the pre-evaluation that we undergo informs you ranges of costs you would incur right from the start of the processing to the end so that you can be well informed of how much it would cost you on an average. Most individuals especially Nigerians that contact us always ask the question, how much does the Canada immigration processing cost? And even we always respond to their inquiries, we cannot always give costs that way until the pre-evaluation is done because every applicant is different and someone else’s costs would not always be the same with another’s even when age and some other factors are the same. So, conducting the pre-evaluation is still paramount for all applicants. Saving Up Funds   I cannot overemphasize this enough as well. When it comes to migrating abroad – to Canada specifically, you have to know it is not for the poor. Let me word it another way, ‘Canada Immigration is meant for the middle class and the rich.’ This again may be harsh but as I always want this blogspot to be viewed, it is where you come to read the bitter truth. So, if you are really serious of getting the unfair advantages that moving to Canada promises, you have to start not only saving up funds but also investing them in your application. Truth be told, most if not all the steps to moving to Canada involves money. So, you just have start as early as possible to sideline some amounts that would be instrumental in aiding your migration to Canada. I always like to give an analogy when I get to discuss this crucial point with inquiring clients. Imagine that you are a chartered accountant here in Nigeria earning way below your qualifications, let’s say ₦150,000 ($395) per month and you have a wife & one child, but can earn about $50,000 per annum (roughly ₦1,500,000 a month) in Canada. You should not expect your processing costs to be less than ₦3,000,000, if you do, then you are indeed a fraudster. Think of what that salary can do for you and your family, then get serious with saving up monies that can help you move. Mind you, you might need more than that for your own.Start the Processing You will agree with me that planning without execution is hypocrisy of the highest order. You cannot lose this lifetime opportunity to get a better life for yourself and your family if you just keep on planning or should I better say procrastinating about your migration to Canada. I hear the news always and I am more than happy when I read online newsletters like this.  According to cicnews.com, once the coronavirus has been contained and Canada returns to a sense of normalcy, it should continue to expect higher levels of Nigerian immigration to Canada. What is that telling you? There is no f*cking better time to leave this sh*thole country than now. You didn’t start spoiling the country, so you shouldn’t be the one that would start repairing it – just my own viewpoint though. Put your money down where your mouth is and start working your way down to Canada.
