News Update: We Just Launched Our Blog Today

Welcome to A.O.S Academy’s Blogspot Redefining Language Learning  Who am I? Yaaaaay!I am so pleased to be officially launching this blogspot today after all said and done but before I get all fired up writing about my passion. I would like to first of all introduce myself to everyone of you.I am AbdulAzeez Olanrewaju Shoderu. A.O.S is the acronym of my names. My alias is scholar. I am an online language coach whose mission is to help English speakers learn languages and take internationally recognised tests like IELTS, TEF Canada, TCF and DELF-DALF, etc. This passion of mine grew from my own struggles while trying to learn the six languages I speak now. I had it rough, while I was learning French for instance during my school days, I had to sacrifice my feeding allowance for extra language tutorials so that I can understand better all what I was not really getting from the lectures in the classroom. Worse still, I realised quickly that language learning was more than just books and taking notes, I was in need of more practical usage and cultural experiences. I yearned to speak with native speakers in real-life scenarios. There were limited free native speakers around me who had the time and even had interest in speaking with me. So, I started investing in the digital world. I got on social media, made some connections with French speakers online, spent time in immersion centers like the Nigerian French Language Village and even I travelled to neighboring francophone countries like Benin Republic for excursions and trade fairs. While thinking of all I have passed through and come to learn during my never-ending sojourn in the language learning world, I felt the need to impact other people with my knowledge, experience and cultural acumen. Hence, I developed my own language programs and online courses which went beyond just class lectures but included quizzes, talks, debates, sports, martial arts, among other extra-curricular activities. In addition, I felt the need to start a blog.I have helped tens of English speakers learn French, take and excel in language tests like TEF Canada and DELF-DALF. I am also preparing candidates to take and excel in English exams like TOEFL and IELTS. Right from my university days, I have also been taking undergraduate students on their core linguistics and elective courses through my tutorial sessions. And, I do assist researchers with their project, thesis and disssertation works. I am the founder of the No. 1 Language and Linguistics Institute – A.O.S Academy, which is an online language learning education platform that teaches English speakers foreign languages as it prepares them for exams. Because of my vast knowledge in linguistics and my relatable approach, I am a highly sought after coach and speaker for language students. I am a Second Class Upper graduate of Linguistics from University of Ilorin and I hold a Certificate of French II from the prestigious Nigerian French Language Village, Ajara, Badagry, Lagos. I have received many notable awards and recognitions such as being named as Le Maitre de la Grammaire Francaise (Master of French Grammar) in 2013 and winning the best overall student in Linguistics Department in Unilorin in 2016. Based on the passion I have for language learning, I have attended Alliance Francaise, and even taken many notable tests among which are IELTS, TEF Canada and DELF-DALF with CEFR Levels; C1, B1 and B2 respectively. I take French lessons on my online school – www.frenchTEFcanada.com and share exam tips weekly on my institute’s blogspot: www.aosacademy.com/blog What is this Blog about? Clearly, this blog will center on language learning but I must say now that it will differ from the common blogs you know in the industry. Reason why I say this is that there would be a blend of many topics relating to language but not necessarily its education. I want to pre-inform you that I, and not only me, but my team of bloggers will be dutifully writing on very interesting topics which would rack your socks. I can only talk about my own now but I assure you that what my team are cooking up may keep you affected if you do not protect yourself. Forget not, COVID-19 is still out there, so stay safe, stay protected. My own blog writings will center on my own areas of deep interest. I would be dropping contents from my table every other Monday on the following issues: Beginner French: How to start speaking French like a PRO from a zero level TEF Canada exam: The tricks to passing the test without being French fluent Canada Immigration: What to know and Steps to follow before moving to Canada The blog will be always dishing out content at least 4 times a week. In addition, other topics to be treated by my team of bloggers will revolve around the following: IELTS exam: Tips for success in the four language skills test Linguistics: Explaining the requirements & benefits of being a linguist and polyglot Research: Strategies to adhere to when writing a project among others Our write-ups on the blog are focused at some readers. We are indeed looking for some sets of individuals in our audience. These people are somewhat like me. If you have once struggled with learning a new language, failed or want to take a language-based test, have problems with your research, currently working on your Canada Immigration processing or want to understand the field of linguistics, then this blogspot is fit for you.I know that we are all busy, especially now that we all have to go back to work after the lockdown periods in Nigeria and even the entire world. I made a mistake early 2018 while processing my Canadian Immigration under the Express Entry program that cost me two (2) years of delayed processing and more than 200,000NGN just because I lacked the appropriate information even after searching a lot online for specific advice on the processes but I have found out that writers fail to simplify concepts and policies of the programs, so this blog aims to achieve simplicity at its peak just for you. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I made. So, take some time out of our busy schedules to educate yourself of the immigration processes. I would be talking about my own current processings in subsequent write-ups, stay tuned for them. How you can contribute! One of the things I like most is getting feedback from my students and those I communicate with, so I would be more than glad to get some from you. For that purpose, I encourage you to make use of the comment section of our blog posts to give your own opinions, ask your questions, tender your complaints, give wonderful remarks and even suggestions. You can be a blogger too. As the saying goes, a tree cannot make a forest. So also, one writer can not make a blog. Just as my team of full-time bloggers are joining me in this, you can also be one of our guest bloggers posting some of your ideas and write-ups on our blog. You can reach me directly via www.aosacademy.com/contact to learn more about that.My 6-Months Blogging Goals I value goal setting and accountability and as a result of that, I would like to share with you the sets of goals that I wish to achieve with this blog within now and the next six (6) months.
