It is no longer news that many intending immigrants either do their Canadian immigration processing on their own or consult an agent to assist with all the application and maintenance of their Express Entry profile. Yet, I have found it true that most ignorant viable travelers find the processes difficult when they do not know or research well how these processes go. Worse still, some educated illiterates still fall victim of fraud while seeming quite learned but not enlightened to these processes. For that reason, I would like to enlighten both the ignorant applicants and half-baked agents about the fifteen (15) steps to be taken towards getting Canadian permanent residency through the most common pathway – Express Entry.
1. Opening a File For Pre-evaluation
As simple as this may sound, many people forget to take it serious and it can make or mar your overall success in the pursuit of permanent residency in Canada. Before embarking on this long process of Canada Immigration, you first need to know how well you are eligible for it. This is the very first step to applying for permanent or even temporary residence for immigration to any of our destinations as it is to aid you pre-evaluate your suitability for any of the travel or immigration programs. There are more than 80 programs to select from for your immigration. Ideally, for you to choose the very best programs for you and/or your family, you need to make a lot of research within 1-5/7 days so that you are well informed of the pros and cons for each pathway. If you do not have the luxury of time, you can now consult an agent to help you with it. Hence, A.O.S Migration Agency can help you and give you a report of their process after all.
2. Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
Once you have taken the time to check your eligibility for the numerous permanent residency programs, the next step to take is for you to send your Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), bachelors or masters or even doctoral degree and official transcript from your educational institution be it a university, college of education, monotechnic or polytechnic to any of the following organizations for assessments from them:

Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies

It all depends on how fast and willing you are to start the processing. During the time you are waiting for your report to arrive, you can commence your preparation for any of the following English or French tests:

After the ECA assessment process, which usually takes 4-8 weeks after your credentials have been sent to them for evaluation, any of the organizations you chose to use will give you a report that tells you what your education is equal to in Canada. It is this report you will then use to start processing your immigration.Just like the ECA process, you would get a test result after some few weeks (within 2-6 weeks) of taking the test and that would also be used as a benchmark to check your proficiency levels in the 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) of the languages. Then, you can move onto the next step and start processing your application.5.
