Newfoundland and Labrador
Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) is located in eastern Canada, the island portion is located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and its capital city is St. John with the most colour waterfronts in the world. It’s no secret that Newfoundland is a charming province. It’s known for its colourful houses and colourful personalities. Immigration into NL is regulated by the joint activities of the Federal Government Immigration, Refugee and Citizen Canada (IRCC) and the provincial Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour’s Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM).

There are three categories under the NLPNP. Each requires that you either have a full-time job offer or be currently employed in the province. It is also important that you prove your intention to permanently settle and contribute to the economic prosperity of NL. Permanently residing in the province is the usual expectation of the provincial government.
 
You can seek permanent residency to NL without initially living there on a temporary basis
Permanently moving into NL can also be through the Express Entry (Controlled by the Federal Government), which involves joining the pool of intending immigrants after meeting the requirements
Provincial Nomination Program
Provincial Nomination Program involves selection of NL as your preferred destination for permanent residency. (Your chances are brighter in this category), live-in caregivers; Agri-Food pilot and entrepreneurs. If you are going through Express Entry below are the minimum requirements for selection;
 

Education;
Work experience;
Language Proficiency English and/or French skills;
Age;
Whether there is a valid job offer; and
Adaptability (how well the applicant is likely to settle in Canada.

A 100-point grid, based on the above criteria, you are required to score 67 to pass the selection process and transition to the Express Entry pool.NL Immigration Categories
·         The Skilled Worker Category is for intending immigrants who have a guaranteed offer of employment from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer, or who are already working in the province on a valid Work Permit. 
·         International Graduate Category is a program for graduates who have a Post-Graduate Work Permit and a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer, between the age 21 to 59-years-old.
·         Priority Skills category is targeted at candidates with vast work experience in occupations in high demand in Newfoundland and Labrador coupled with a high level of education and language ability. It is mandatory for candidates to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI)and those with the highest scores and greatest interest from employers are invited to apply to the NL Provincial Nomination Program.

The International Graduate Entrepreneur category targets graduates of Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic who have already started or bought a local business who are, While International Entrepreneur Category targets intending immigrants who experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. Applicants in both categories must be at least 21 years of age.

The Atlantic Pilot Program consists of selection of Skilled Workers for permanent residency in this category;

International Graduate Category IGC involves Individuals who have graduated from an Atlantic post-secondary program of at least two years with a job offer for at least one year in an intermediate or high skilled position.
A language test confirming Canadian Language Benchmark of 4 or higher is required)

Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program involves skilled individuals who have completed secondary school, and who have at least one year of intermediate-skilled experience, and an indeterminate job offer. A language test confirming Canadian Language Benchmark of 4 or higher is required.

Atlantic High Skilled Program involves skilled individuals who have completed secondary school, and who have at least one year of high-skilled experience, and a job offer in a high-skilled field for at least one year.
A language test confirming Canadian Language Benchmark of 4 or higher is required.

Family Sponsorship is another way of moving into NL; you are required to have a family Member in NL willing and able to meet the requirement in these regard.
