Today, I want to talk about a topic that many bloggers and educators who coach French candidates and test takers shy away from. Perhaps the reason why they do not discuss about it is that many are not worried about the authentic test results candidates get since test takers have their evaluations in the accredited test centers like Alliance Franҫaise or Institut Franҫais. However, there have been many rumors going around about fake results lately as regards not just only French tests but more specifically the internationally recognized English language tests like IELTS and TOEFL. Many people only now claim to provide test takers with test results online without even taking the test, so it is now much more necessary to find out if these individuals really give genuine test results or not and how you as a test taker can get legit result.
The Facts from the Lies
At A.O.S Academy, we keep on informing candidates that there are approved test centers all around us here in Ilorin, at Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja, across Nigeria and in other neighboring and foreign countries worldwide where they can take these tests and be rest assured of the authenticity of their test results. Please, note that only some licensed bodies are allowed to conduct these language tests in the first place. Take for instance; TEF and TCF Canada tests are conducted by the CCIP (Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry) through Alliance Franҫaise. No other organizations are permitted to do so, not even the coaching centers like A.O.S Academy, Tanke, Ilorin or even Nigeria French Language Village, Ajara-Badagry, Lagos where you possibly learn how to speak French. Test takers should be quite careful and vigilant when these so-called coaching centers or even French coaches assist them in registering their tests even if the coaches or administrators of these schools work in the approved test centers. Just like IELTS, there are some cogent information that are required from the candidates to register them for these tests. Without these info, you may just be getting scammed by these purported officers. Candidates should receive an email message from the Director of any TEF or TCF approved test centers be it Alliance Franҫaise or Institut Franҫais about the successful registration for the test after these above information and test fee have been used to register them. As requirements to the registration process, candidates are also required to make payment for their test within 14 days before the test date. Though, there might be exceptions for those who need to take the test earlier than that but at least a week must be left for practice and full registration process. It is rather impossible for a test taker to pay for a test and get the test done the second day or even within that week of registration. Hence, be very careful of officials that promise to get a test taker registered for the test within a week and get the test done that within that same 7 days. It may be more or less a scam.
On the Test Day
Even with the issues with the post-Covid-19 restrictions, CCIP has still maintained tests to be conducted in the test centers unlike IELTS that now conducts tests virtually at the comfort of the test taker’s home. Though, the TEF and TCF tests in most test centers are now prepared and taken online through the center’s laptops and gadgets in the test halls. Hence, by all means possible, visit the TEF or TCF test center where you registered for the test and go for your test and more importantly candidate verification process. Just like the IELTS, during the test, candidates are required to sign on a paper and on the devices electronically within the test periods and even get their passport photographs re-snapped after the test. All these formalities are required for the final test result a candidate is scheduled to receive days or weeks after the test day.After the Test
Once the test has been taken, it is expected that the test result be received within 4-14 days after the test. Gracefully, due to the online nature of the test now at the test center, the TEF/ TCF test results come out much faster. And, now more as opposed to the years prior to 2020, test results are issued via the candidate’s email address which was the one used during the registration process. Thus, it is highly recommended that candidates tender the email address that they have uninterrupted access to during registration. In addition, the test result should be sent directly to the candidate by CCIP through their custom official email address: no-reply@cci-paris-idf.fr and no other organization or individual.
