Since the 5th October 2021, The IELTS partners announced that test takers around the world will soon have the option to take their secure test at home when IELTS Online launches in 2022. What does that really mean for candidates and coaching centers like ours? How are you and us meant to respond to this wonderful long-awaiting change? And, when exactly will this change occur? Many of these questions and more will be running through our minds right now.
Advantages for Candidates
IELTS Online will offer test takers a new way to take IELTS Academic, the world’s leading test of English for international higher education.Students will be able to take the test from their own home as they embark on their journey to achieving their study and career goals. This change brings to existence the flexibility of such arrangements.Taking the test online at home will provide candidates the freedom of sitting down in their rooms or any other convenient spaces in their abode and answering the various question types and/or perhaps conversing with the examiner through video-conferencing platforms that will surely be more interactive and quite confidently appealing for the candidate since s/he would be in an environment that they are more in control of.To buttress these points, IELTS Partners emphasizes that ‘the test will have the same content and format as the existing IELTS on paper and IELTS on computer tests.
